Mtre Bryan-Eric Lane is one of the guest speakers at the 2nd Construction Law Conference (Colloque Droit de la construction), organized by Les Éditions Yvon Blais, which will be held this May 30 in Montréal.

Mtre Lane will deliver a lecture on the different warranties to which a developer/builder selling a property is subject regarding the buyer, and their specific object.

More specifically, Mtre Lane will address the legal warranty of quality of section 1726 C.C.Q., the warranty of ownership and the warranty against violations of public law restrictions of section 1725 C.C.Q. The warranty of  delivery and the specific warranties applicable to real estate work against the loss of the work and poor workmanship under sections 2118 and 2120 C.C.Q. will also be discussed. Mtre Lane will also address the warranties arising from the Regulation respecting the guarantee plan for new residential buildings and the conventional warranties.
