Mtre Alexandra Davanzo obtained her law degree from Université Laval in 2013. She also has a paralegal degree from Collège François-Xavier-Garneau.

BIOGRAPHY

Before becoming an attorney, Mtre Davanzo served for several years as a land registrar for the Land Register of Quebec, within the ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources naturelles, which allowed her to acquire in-depth knowledge of real estate transactions and land titles. She then worked in the legal department of a large company where she dealt with business contracts, labour relations and professional ethics.

At the very beginning of her career as an attorney, she also worked for the CNESST, where she represented the rights of employees, particularly in the context of redress procedures relating to dismissal without just and sufficient cause, prohibited practices and recovery.

With her corporate experience, Mtre Davanzo is able to provide business clients with service that is tailored to meet their needs.

Mtre Davanzo has extensive experience in civil and commercial litigation, as well as in real estate law. She has pleaded before various courts, including the Court of Quebec and the Superior Court, notably within the context of trials on the merits.

In recent years, Mtre Davanzo has focused her practice on business law, with a particular emphasis on transactional matters. More specifically, Mtre Davanzo is involved in sales/acquisitions of companies and various commercial transactions, including mergers or partnerships, where she negotiates, advises and sees to the drafting of the necessary agreements in the best interest of her clients, all in a pragmatic, efficient and organized manner. Mtre Davanzo's solid experience in civil and commercial litigation is a major asset that allows her to advise her clients well and help them prevent or settle a dispute.

Mtre Davanzo has extensive experience and sound expertise in the analysis and drafting of all types of contracts relating to the operation of a business, including shareholder agreements, offers to lease, commercial leases, employment contracts, rollover agreements, distribution agreements, service contracts, offers to purchase, letters of intent, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, contracts of sale or purchase and movable hypothecs.

In 2021, Mtre Davanzo became the head of our business law department. In this capacity, she oversees the coordination of our business law team, which is made up of lawyers and paralegals.
